Details

These statistics cover police use of force in England and Wales between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024. Data was collected from the 43 Home Office funded police forces in England and Wales, and for the year ending 31 March 2024 data was also collected from the British Transport Police (BTP).

Police use of force statistics, year ending 31 March 2024, are classified as official statistics. They have been published since the year ending 31 March 2018.
