1. Provisional summer GCSE and IGCSE entries: summer 2014
Some inaccuracies in the data have come to light in our publication “Provisional summer GCSE and IGCSE entries: summer 2014”, first published on 22 May 2014. The release provides information on the number of entries in GCSE and IGCSE by subject and year group in England (data tables accompanying the report give entry figures for Wales and Northern Ireland as well) during the summer 2014 exam series. The inaccuracies occurred due to some errors in data processing. This affects the report and accompanying data tables.
Some of the inaccuracies also affect 2015 and 2016 publications of summer entries for GCSEs, level 1/2 certificates, AS and A levels in England.
The corrected version of the data are reported in the 2017 publication “Summer 2017 exam entries: GCSEs, level 1 / 2 certificates, AS and A levels in England”. We apologise for any confusion caused as a result.
