The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) has published the Public Health Outcomes Framework quarterly data update for February 2024.
The data is presented in an interactive tool that allows users to view it in a user-friendly format. The data tool also provides links to further supporting information, to aid understanding of public health in a local population.
This update includes new data for 56 indicators:
- life expectancy in males and females at birth and at 65 years in the overarching indicators domain
- 14 indicators from the wider determinants of health domain including school readiness, killed and seriously injured on the roads, crime, homelessness and social isolation indicators
- 22 indicators from the health improvement domain including cancer diagnosed at stages 1 and 2, health screening and wellbeing indicators
- 2 indicators from the health protection domain – the fraction of mortality attributable to air pollution and the incidence of TB
- 17 indicators from the healthcare and premature mortality domain including infant mortality, premature mortality, mortality from a range of specified communicable diseases, preventable sight loss and the winter mortality index
22 indicators had the back series revised to use the Office for National Statistics (ONS) 2021 census based mid-year population estimates from 2012 onwards.
