The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) has published the Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) quarterly data update for May 2024.
The data is presented in an interactive tool that allows users to view it in a user friendly format. The data tool also provides links to further supporting information, to aid understanding of public health in a local population.
This update includes new data for 20 indicators:
- 4 indicators from the wider determinants of health domain including:
- indicators on children in low income families
- pupil absence
- employment indicators for people in receipt of long-term support for a learning disability
- violent crime hospital admissions
- 11 indicators from the health improvement domain including:
- hospital admission indicators for unintentional or deliberate injury in children and young people
- self harm
- alcohol-related conditions
- falls
- deaths from drug misuse
- physical activity and inactivity in adults
- adults classified as overweight or obese
- adults meeting the 5-a-day fruit and vegetable consumption recommendations
- looked after children whose emotional wellbeing is a cause for concern
- 4 indicators from the health protection domain including uptake of the human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV), shingles vaccine and the pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV)
- emergency readmissions within 30 days of discharge from hospital from the healthcare and premature mortality domain
Integrated care board (ICB) data has also been added for 60 indicators across the PHOF including hospital admissions and mortality.
