Statistics on the number of local bus:
- passenger journeys

in Great Britain.
For the year ending December 2018, the number of local bus passenger journeys in:
- England was 4.32 billion, a 1.6% decrease
- London decreased by 1.4%
- England outside London decreased by 1.9%
When comparing local bus passenger journeys for October to December 2018 with October to December 2017, we see:
- a 0.6% decrease in England
- bus use in London decreased by 0.9%
In the same period for bus use, we see:
- England outside London decreased by 0.3%.
- Scotland decreased by 5.1%
- Wales increased by 2.8%
The local bus fares index increased by 4.6% in England between December 2017 and December 2018.
For other areas, the local bus fares index change was a:
- 0.4% increase in London
- 3.3% increase in metropolitan areas
- 9.7% increase in non-metropolitan areas
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) increased by 2.1% over the same 12-month period.
Local bus fares increased by:
- 5.3% in Scotland
- 2.5% in Wales
