Statistics on the number of road goods vehicles which travel from Great Britain to Europe for April 2017 to March 2018.

In the year ending March 2018, 3.5 million road goods vehicles travelled from Great Britain to Europe, of which:

  • 2.4 million were powered vehicles
  • 1.1 million were unaccompanied trailers

80% of powered vehicles travelled from Dover Strait ports, whilst 72% of unaccompanied trailers travelled from North Sea ports.

In the year ending March 2018, the number of powered vehicles that travelled from Great Britain to Europe decreased by 3%, of which:

  • 0.3 million were UK-registered
  • 2.0 million were foreign-registered
