Details

In the 12 month period from April to June 2013 to January to March 2014:

  • 2.7 million road goods vehicles travelled from Great Britain to mainland Europe, 11% higher than the 12 month period ending March 2013 and just 6% lower than in 2007

Of these goods vehicles:

  • 2.1 million were powered vehicles
  • 658,000 were unaccompanied trailers
  • powered goods vehicles increased by 13%, whilst unaccompanied trailers increased by 6%, compared to the previous 12 month period

In January to March 2014:

  • 690,000 goods vehicles travelled from Great Britain to mainland Europe, 8% higher than in January to March 2013 and the highest January to March figure since 2008

Of these goods vehicles:

  • 530,000 were powered vehicles
  • 159,000 were unaccompanied trailers
