Quarterly statistical bulletin on deaths, self-harm and assaults in prison custody.

This quarterly update provides key statistics and analysis on deaths, self-harm and assaults in prison custody, looking at trends across age, gender and time in prison custody.

Latest figures up to March 2013 are provided as well as reference to longer term trends.

Tables with annual data up to 2012 are also included.

The bulletin is released by the Ministry of Justice and produced in accordance with arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
