The publication aims to provide a headline overview of some of the key developments in the UK energy system: how energy is produced and used and the way in which energy use influence greenhouse gas emissions.

Future of the publication

DECC is considering whether to stop publication of this statistical release in favour of publishing data not readily available elsewhere (i.e. competition in energy markets) in our quarterly statistical publication Energy Trends from 2016 onwards.
