Youth Participation Pilot Survey: Findings tables

Details

The Youth Participation Pilot Survey is a pilot survey of young people aged 10-19 in England. It explores young people’s participation in a range of after school activities from sports clubs and classes, arts, music groups and clubs, youth clubs, uniformed youth and any other clubs.

This report summarises the findings of the pilot which ran from June to August 2023. The mode of the survey was online and 1,981 young people took part.

These statistics are labelled as official statistics in development. Official statistics in development are official statistics that are undergoing development and will be tested with users, in line with the standards of trustworthiness, quality and value in the Code of Practice for Statistics. They are being published as official statistics in development because:

  •  they include new measures of participation in a range of youth activities which have not previously been tested
  • the methodology was being tested and was in development.

Differences between groups are only reported on in this publication where they are statistically significant (i.e. where we can be confident that the differences seen in our sampled respondents reflect the population).
