About the 2017 UK-China High-Level People to People Dialogue

The fifth annual UK-China High-Level People-to-People Dialogue (P2P) will be held in the UK from 4 to 7 December 2017. In addition to promoting collaboration on mutually important issues, we will celebrate successful partnerships in this golden era of UK-China relations.

The P2P is chaired by Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt and Chinese Vice Premier Madame Liu Yandong, the most senior female politician in China. Mme Liu will meet with a number of senior figures and attend P2P celebration events.

The P2P covers 10 policy strands: health, education, culture and creative industries, science and innovation, tourism, sport, youth, regional co-operation, women and social equity.

This year’s P2P theme is ‘Spirit of Youth’, a UK government campaign in China aiming to inspire the next generation of leaders in China and the UK and to promote deeper collaboration and exchange.
