Applications for 2014/15 prestigious Chevening Scholarships are now open and will close on 15 November 2013. Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarships programme. Established in 1983, these scholarships support study at UK universities, mostly for one-year Masters’ degrees, for students with demonstrable potential to become future leaders, decision-makers and opinion formers.
Chevening Scholarships are for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields, including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion, and academia.We accept applications from a wide range of subject areas, and particularly welcome applications in the following fields:

Public administration and governance

International relations and political participation
-
Journalism and promotion of professional and open media
-
Rule of Law and human rights
-
Intercultural dialogue and mediation
Last year, two Chevening Scholars from Tunisia studied in the UK. Youssef Cherif studied for a MA International Relations at King’s College London and Nabil Chemli studied for a MSc International Studies and Diplomacy at the School of Oriental and African Studies. This year there are three Tunisian Chevening Scholars following Masters courses in the UK’s top universities.
Chevening Scholarships are mainly funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), with some contributions from universities and other partners in the UK and overseas, including governmental and private sector bodies.
Applications for Chevening Scholarships must be submitted online at www.chevening.org/tunisia.
