Apply for a munitions worker’s veterans badge

You can get a veterans badge if you were a munitions worker during World War 2.

Eligibility

You can apply if:

  • you worked in the Royal Ordnance Factories between 1939 and 1945

You can apply on behalf of someone who’s died if you’re a relative.

How to apply

Send an email to the Munitions Workers Association:

You’ll need to give:

  • your name (include the name you had during your service if it’s different)
  • period of service
  • the name of the factory where you worked

There’s no fee for applying for a veterans badge.

What you’ll get

You’ll get:

  • a veterans badge issued by BAE Systems Heritage Department
  • a letter of recognition from the Royal Household

After you’ve applied

You will be contacted as soon as possible. There may be some delay due to coronavirus restrictions.
