Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union

Reason
Pursuant to Article 9(1), point (a), of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 (1), the Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union (2) are hereby amended as follows:
On page 123, after the Explanatory note to CN subheading ‘2621 10 00 Ash and residues from the incineration of municipal waste’, the following text is inserted
‘2621 90 00 - Other
This subheading does not include cenospheres, hollow spheres mainly consisting of aluminosilicate, which are a specific lightweight component isolated from fly ash obtained (generally) by the burning of coal in thermal power plants (heading 6806).’
On page 283, in the Explanatory note to CN subheading ‘6806 20 90 Other’, the following new item 4. is inserted:
6806 20 90
‘4. Cenospheres, hollow spheres mainly consisting of aluminosilicate, which are a specific lightweight component isolated from fly ash obtained (generally) by the burning of coal in thermal power plants.’
