New data items

Expanded hours

The expanded hours data item (N00787) records up to 15 hours for children aged 9 months up to 3 years old with working parents.

Funded entitlement weeks

The funded entitlement weeks data item (N00791) records the number of weeks the child is expected to take their funded hours across the funding period (such as the child’s eligibility year), in line with the parental declaration form.

Extended entitlement weeks

The extended entitlement weeks data item (N00792) records the number of weeks the child is expected to take their extended hours across the funding period (such as the child’s eligibility year), in line with the parental declaration form.

Expanded entitlement weeks

The expanded entitlement weeks data item (N00793) records the number of weeks the child is expected to take their expanded hours across the funding period (such as the child’s eligibility year), in line with the parental declaration form.

Existing data items

We have changed the 30 hour code (N00202) data item to eligibility code (N00202).

We have expanded these data items to cover children aged 9 months up to and including 4 years old:

  • DAF indicator (N00203)
  • EY PPR (N00639)
  • EY PP BF (N00174)

The ethnicity code set (CS080) has been amended to align with the ONS 2021 census by including ABRI (Asian - British), AWL (Asian - Welsh), BBRI (Black - British), BWEL (Asian - Welsh), and ORAB (Arab). All are main codes except ORAB which is an extended code and covered by the main code of OOTH (Any other ethnic group). The description of WIRT has been updated to ‘Irish Traveller’.
