Director information hub: Confirmation statement

Sending your confirmation statements.

Help us to improve the director information hub by completing a short feedback survey.

Every company, even if they are not active (dormant) or not trading must tell Companies House about their circumstances each year.

This is known as a confirmation statement.

You must do this once a year for as long as your company exists.

The 12-month period begins on the date you incorporated your company.

So if you incorporated your company on 1 January, you have to 31 December of the same year to send your confirmation statement.

What you must tell Companies House

The confirmation statement includes details of:

  • company directors and secretaries
  • anyone involved in the company with significant control
  • registered company address
  • statement of capital

The easiest way to send your confirmation statement is online at Companies House.
