Ministers have made capital grants available to early years settings, including schools, through a local authority bidding process to support the delivery of the 30 hours extended entitlement coming into effect from September 2017.

Only local authorities that submitted an Expression of Interest by 29 April 2016 are eligible to apply.

The application window opened 21 June, with application forms sent out to all eligible local authorities. Local authorities must submit their bid by 31 August through the EFA Enquiry Form, attaching the completed application forms as instructed. Please see the ‘Early Years Capital: Information for Applicants’ for further information.
