Competition for technology companies in Finland and Baltic countries
Technology companies in Finland and the Baltic countries can enter a competition to win a tailored business development programme in the UK.
The competition is now closed.
Overview
This competition encourages high growth technology companies in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to select the UK as a place where they can set up and grow their businesses.
The competiton is run by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Finland and UKTI team in the Baltic countries.
Who can enter
The competition is open to companies with headquarters in Finland, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania.
Companies that apply must not have offices in the UK and should have at least 4 employees.
Prizes
Four prizes will be awarded to the finalists (2 establishment packages and 2 tickets to London Technology Week events).
London prize:
- a one year membership for one person at Central Working (valued at £4,500)
- a one year membership at the Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce (FBCC) and a complementary ticket to one of their events
- UK lead generation package provided by JMB Partnership (valued at £2,000)
- Tax, legal and accounting advice and UK company registration provided by Oury Clark (valued at £1500 per winner)
- 25 hours of PR consultancy work provided by Rochester PR Group
Manchester prize:
- 5 hours of law services provided by Bermans (valued at £1,350)
- 2 hour meeting to discuss UK tax requirements, use of a meeting room 1 morning a month for 6 consecutive months and access to Deloitte TMT Predictions event and industry updates provided by Deloitte Manchester (valued at £5,000)
- 12 months complementary membership of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (valued at £ 1,200 depending on company size )
- 1 hot-desk space with a UK business address and free WiFi and one membership to a members only lounge at the Landing at MediaCityUK (valued at £540)
- 15 hours (2 days) of PR support provided by Weber Shandwick Manchester (valued at £1,300)
- a one year membership at the Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce (FBCC) and a complementary ticket to one of their events
Technology event ticket prize
Two tickets (1 per company) to attend a seminar/workshop or conference being most relevant to their sector as part of London Technology Week in June 2015.

Judging criteria
The applicants will be judged on:
- growth of company
- how innovative the company’s product or service or business model is
- customer validation
- how closely the company’s product or service relates to the UK market
- potential for business growth in the UK
Applying
The competition is now closed. The application deadline was 30 October 2014.

There was an additional Guru Award to win a one month membership to use global Guru Network services. This prize went to GoWorkaBit
Finalists pitched to a panel of judges on 17 November 2014, at the finalist pitching dinner at the British Ambassador´s Residence in Helsinki. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges from the UK. They were:

The winners were chosen from 10 finalists who were selected by a panel of advisors including:
