Get support to increase the take-up of A level physics

The Stimulating Physics Network provides free, bespoke support for teachers of physics to increase the take-up of A level physics, particularly by girls.

What you can get

The Stimulating Physics Network offers:

  • continuing professional development for specialist and non-specialist teachers
  • student events and activities
  • tailored programmes for schools
  • teaching resources
  • an online professional network

Who can access the network

All specialist and non-specialist teachers of physics in state-funded secondary schools in England can get training and support from the Stimulating Physics Network.

Some schools, for example those with new or few specialist physics teachers, may be eligible for additional bespoke support by becoming a network partner school.

When it’s available

Schools and colleges can register for events or apply to join the network at any time.

What it costs

Courses and support are free.
