This event provided an overview of the video remand hearings project, which aims to transform the way in which hearings for defendants held in custody could be administered in the future. The service will ultimately enable suitable proceedings to move out of the physical courtroom and into a video space. The event was held for legal professionals and professional court users including the Crown Prosecution Services and the police.
