Overview

When you email the Asylum Central Communications Hub, make sure you include the right information so we can answer your query.

What information you need to include depends on what your query is about. Use the email templates below to make sure your email has all the details we need.

Submitting a letter of authority

Use this email template if you’re a representative and you’re submitting a letter of authority for the first time, or you’ve been asked to resubmit one.

The letter of authority must include:

  • the applicant’s full name
  • the applicant’s date of birth
  • the applicant’s signature
  • date the applicant signed the letter (must be within the last 3 months)
  • Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC), Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) or Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) number
  • name of the legal representative
  • contact details of the legal representative
  • full business address of the legal representative

Withdrawing your asylum claim

Use this email template when you or your client want to withdraw an asylum claim.

Making a complaint 

Use our online form to make a complaint.

Submitting a pre-action protocol (PAP) 

If you’re submitting a PAP, use the PAP template letter, then send the completed document to UKVIPAP@homoffice.gov.uk. The PAP team will respond to any queries submitted within the PAP.  

If you have other queries which are not mentioned in the PAP relating to your or your client’s asylum claim, contact us and use the relevant email template.

Applying for a judicial review (JR) 

If you’re applying for a judicial review, use the judicial review claim form: N461.

If you have other queries which are not mentioned in the judicial review relating to your or your client’s asylum claim, contact us and use the relevant email template.

Submitting documents to support an asylum claim

Use this email template if you want to submit further evidence to support your asylum claim.

Changing your address

If the Home Office is providing you or your client accommodation, you will need to contact Migrant Help and tell them about your change of address.

If the Home Office if not providing your accommodation, you should use this email template.

If you’re unable to attend an asylum interview
