Providing your lettings information
The various ways in which you can provide information used for Local Housing Allowance and statistics on private rent levels.
We have developed a quick and easy way for you to provide your rental information to us with online forms. We ask a few questions about your contact information, details of the property and rent payable. We only use your contact information once in 12 months to ask if your information is still current.
Before you get started
The forms on this page can be used by both landlords and tenants. The information you will need to provide to successfully complete these online forms are:
- Contact information
- Address details

Property details:
- Type of property
- Number of bedrooms (for self-contained properties)
- Number of reception rooms (for self-contained properties)
- Detail of rooms (for individual rooms)
- Detail of shared/communal areas (for individual rooms)
- Age of property

Rental Information:
- Rent payable
- How often the rent is payable
- Details of any bills included within rent
For landlords
If you are a landlord who rents out up to 6 self-contained properties or 6 rooms, use our online forms linked below. Alternatively, we have forms that can be downloaded, completed offline and emailed back to roli@voa.gov.uk.
Self-contained property form - landlords
If you are a landlord who rents out up to 6 self-contained properties, use this form to submit your lettings information.
Individual rooms form - landlords
If you are a landlord who rents out up to 6 individual rooms, use this form to submit your lettings information.
For tenants
If you are a tenant, there are 2 forms you can use depending on whether you rent a room or rent a whole property or you can download a form that can be completed offline and emailed back to us at roli@voa.gov.uk.
Self-contained property form - tenants
If you are a tenant who rents an entire property under one tenancy, use this form to submit your rental information.
Individual rooms form - tenants
If you are a tenant who rents an individual room, use this form to submit your rental information.
