Components of qualifications: approval criteria
How components that are already approved for funding will be approved in 2025 to 2026.
Components approved for funding in the DfE funded adult skills fund (ASF) local flexibility offer will continue to be approved in 2025 to 2026, if the qualification they are related to is also approved for the local flexibility offer in 2025 to 2026.
During the moratorium, we will not approve any more components of qualifications for standalone funding in the local flexibility offer. This includes any components of any qualifications linked to occupational regulation or licence to practice which we have added to the ASF local flexibility offer for 2025 to 2026.
We will approve components of updated English and maths stepping stone qualifications and add these to the statutory entitlement to English and maths offer.
We are aware that some components we have rolled over may not be operational for all of 2025 to 2026. Make sure you tell your centres about any components which you may withdraw during 2025 to 2026.
