Summary

The Centre for Climate and Health Security conducts research on climate-related hazards to health, including on the risks of heat. Much of this research is published in peer-reviewed scientific literature. An overview of our research outputs can be found on the UKHSA Research Portal.

Other scientific literature on heat and public health can be found in the references section of the Adverse Weather and Health Plan’s Supporting Evidence Document and in the Health Effects of Climate Change report.

To keep up to date with the latest scientific research on climate and health, you can sign up to the Adverse Weather and Health Research Bulletin produced by the UKHSA Knowledge and Library Services team, by emailing climate.mobilisation@ukhsa.gov.uk with subject line “Adverse Weather and Health Research Bulletin”.
