Set up a Direct Debit for a duty deferment account on the Customs Declaration Service

Find out how to set up a Direct Debit with your bank or building society if you’ve set up your duty deferment account.

Before you start

You need to get access to the Customs Declaration Service and then set up a Direct Debit arrangement with your bank or building society, after your duty deferment account has been set up.

What you’ll need

You need your bank or building society’s details, including the:

  • account holder’s name (as it appears on your bank statement)
  • sort code and account number
  • bank or building society name and address

If you have an existing deferment account and want to change bank details, you should also include the deferment account number we sent you when you applied for a duty deferment account.

How to set up or amend your Direct Debit

You can set up or amend a Direct Debit using the customs financials accounts service.
