Setting up an ACS passport scheme

Information you need if you want to offer an ACS passport scheme.

Every 3 years we invite certification bodies to tender for the opportunity to provide ACS assessment services. These may include standard route assessments, a passport route scheme, or both.

What is an ACS passport scheme?

Passport schemes:

  • integrate international, British and other industry standards with the ACS standard
  • recognise other accreditation or certification schemes
  • are accredited by us and quality assured by a UKAS accredited assessment body

Fees we charge you for operating an ACS passport scheme

We will charge you a set of fees for operating an accredited passport scheme. These fees include:

  • fixed charges for us to administer the scheme, as set out below
  • variable charges that cover surveillance and re-accreditation services, based on a daily rate of £381 plus expenses

Our fixed fees

The fixed admininstration fees we charge are:

  • Application fee: £762 + VAT
  • Annual Accreditation Fee: £1,143 + VAT
  • Re-instatement Fee: £572 + VAT

We review these fees periodically and definitely before each tender process.
