Submit your Kickstart Scheme vacancies
Submit your Kickstart Scheme vacancies after you've received a successful outcome to your Kickstart Scheme grant application.
Applies to England, Scotland and Wales
Kickstart Scheme applications closed at midday on 17 December 2021.
Check the deadlines for completing other Kickstart Scheme tasks.
If you’re a Kickstart gateway, check the guidance for gateways.
Before you submit your vacancies
You must have:
- successfully applied before midday on 17 December 2021 for a Kickstart Scheme grant
- signed and returned the grant agreement to DWP or your Kickstart gateway before 11:59pm on 7 January 2022
Applications to add more jobs or employers to your grant agreement (grant variation) closed at midday on 17 December 2021.
How to submit your vacancies
If you applied through a Kickstart gateway
Give your vacancy details to your gateway. They will submit them to DWP on your behalf by 11:59pm on 31 January 2022 using the job placement template.
If you applied online
We’ll either:
- email you the job placement template to complete and send back for approval
- invite you to create an online account where you can submit your vacancies for approval online
You need to send back the job placement template or submit your vacancies online by 11:59pm on 31 January 2022.
If you’ve received an invitation to create an online account
Some employers who apply online will be invited by email to create an account.
If you’re invited, you’ll be able to:
- submit details of your vacancies online for approval
- check the approval status of your vacancies
The email will explain how to create your account.
Once you’ve created your account, you can sign back in to submit your vacancies online:
After you’ve added your vacancies
-
Your vacancies will go live once we’ve approved them.
-
We’ll advertise your jobs on the Find a job service until 28 February 2022.
-
Work coaches at Jobcentre Plus will refer young people to your vacancies (‘referrals’) until 1 March 2022. A referral is made when we recommend your vacancy to a candidate. This does not guarantee the candidate will put in an application.
-
You or your Kickstart gateway (depending on your agreement with them) will interview suitable candidates who have applied.
-
The young person must start the job on or before 31 March 2022.
-
You or your Kickstart gateway should tell us by 11:59pm on 30 April 2022 that the young person has started so we can process the funding.
-
You can add more jobs to your existing grant agreement until midday on 17 December 2021.
-
You can manage your funding once the young person has started.
You can advertise vacancies yourself, but all jobs must receive an introduction through a DWP work coach to receive full funding.
