The Tom Bennett behaviour management programme provides school leaders and teachers with practical training to improve behaviour in the classroom and across their school.

What you can get

The programme is structured into 2 strands, one tailored for school leaders and the second for teachers. Each strand consists of:

  • a 2 day training event on strategies for creating strong and positive classroom and school cultures
  • 2 separate one day booster sessions, 3 months apart, to recap, address challenges and embed practices
  • access to online resources including materials, a support community and expert feedback from the course trainers

Who can apply

You can apply if you are a teacher or school leader.

The programme is for schools rated ‘requires improvement’ or ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted in the following areas:

  • Bracknell Forest
  • East Cambridgeshire
  • East Northamptonshire
  • Fenland
  • Great Yarmouth
  • Hastings
  • Ipswich
  • Isle of Wight
  • King’s Lynn and West Norfolk
  • Luton
  • Medway
  • Mid Suffolk
  • Milton Keynes
  • Northampton
  • Norwich
  • Peterborough
  • Portsmouth
  • Reading
  • Swindon
  • West Somerset
