You can use this service to register your interest in contracting as an Ofsted inspector.

Requirements
If you want to contract as an Ofsted inspector, you will need certain qualifications and experience. These requirements will depend on whether you want to inspect:
You will also need to meet some technology requirements.
You must check those requirements before registering your interest.
Personal information
When you register your interest in becoming a contracted Ofsted inspector, you will need your:
- name
- email address
- mobile telephone number
- home address
Professional information
You will also need to tell us:
- what remits you can work in (for example, schools, further education and skills, early years childcare or social care)
- whether you have a degree level qualification
- whether you hold qualified teacher status
Employment
We will also ask you to tell us:
- who your current employer is
- your employer’s Ofsted unique reference number (known as a ‘URN’), if they have one
- your current job title
Statement of suitability
We will also ask you to tell us, within the context of becoming an Ofsted inspector, how you meet the criteria for your chosen remit.

We will hold on to your details for 2 years. You should not attempt to re-register your interest in this time unless we contact you.
