The Single Payment Scheme (SPS) - part of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) - was previously the EU’s main agricultural subsidy scheme.
The SPS scheme closed in 2014. If you need any information about the scheme please refer to the previous guides, which can be found in the National Archives.
