Visit the UK if you're a national of Jordan

Nationals of Jordan can no longer get an electronic travel authorisation (ETA). Check what you need to do to visit the UK.

Nationals of Jordan must apply for a visa to visit the UK. You can no longer get an electronic travel authorisation (ETA).

If you already have an ETA

You can arrive in the UK with an ETA before 3pm (UK time) on 8 October 2024, if both of these apply:

  • you booked your journey before 3pm (UK time) on 10 September 2024
  • this booking was for a journey arriving in the UK before 3pm (UK time) on 8 October 2024

You will need to prove your booking when you travel and when you arrive.

You cannot amend a booking to meet these conditions. You will need to apply for a visa instead.

You must follow the rules on what you can and cannot do with an ETA.

Travelling to the UK after 3pm (UK time) on 8 October 2024

Your ETA will be cancelled. You cannot get a refund.

You need to apply for a visa to visit the UK.

Check the visa processing times and allow enough time before you travel.

If you are already in the UK

You can stay in the UK, as long as you follow the rules on what you can and cannot do with an ETA.

If you already booked travel but do not have an ETA

You need to apply for a visa to visit the UK.
