Travelling to your sponsor: Homes for Ukraine
How to make travel arrangements to meet your host.
You can find out more about what to do when you arrive in the UK, including how to get your visa stamp in your passport, or what to do if you already have a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).
Travelling to your accommodation
When you arrive in the UK you can travel to your accommodation one-way for free using the national rail network, light rail, buses, and coaches anywhere in the UK (except for Northern Ireland, who have their own arrangements).
To travel for free, you will need to:
- show your Ukrainian passport
- show your travel ticket with your arrival date and time
- travel in the first 48 hours of arriving in the UK
You can also travel for free on buses, trams, and the tube in London.
You cannot use the free travel for a return journey, you can only travel in one direction.
You can plan your journey and read more on the national rail website.
