BKLM315120 - Chargeable equity and liabilities: relevant entities and groups: relevant entities

Paragraph 15A of Schedule 19

Where an entity that is a bank or building society is within the charge to Bank Levy, but is not the parent or subsidiary of a relevant group (see BKLM222000), the amount of the chargeable equity and liabilities is:

• In the case of a UK resident bank or building society, the UK based equity and liabilities of the entity as at the end of the chargeable period; or
• In the case of a relevant foreign bank (see BKLM245000), the amount of the UK allocated equity and liabilities of the bank as at the end of the chargeable period.
