CCM20320 - Migrant Workers: Multi-Occupancy - Risks
This is where a number of claims come from the same address and the suspicion is that all or some of the claims are fictitious.
This risk is not exclusive to migrant workers; however it can be more prevalent because of the circumstances surrounding migrant workers arrival in the UK. There is generally a need for a temporary address while the worker settles in, finds work and permanent accommodation. It is important to be mindful of the different living cultures of other nationalities where large extended families live together in the same house, building up their own communities.
