CITM2010 - Accreditation of community development finance institutions (CDFIs): Application for accreditation

To be eligible for relief under the CITR scheme an investment must be made in a body that is accredited as a CDFI. For background on the role of CDFIs see CITM1010.
The Secretary of State for the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is responsible for accrediting CDFIs. In practice this function is delegated to the Director of Company Law and Governance at the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) - see ITA/s343.
Applications for accreditation as a CDFI must be made to DBT, from whom further information about the form of the application can be obtained.
