COM120033 - Repayments / reallocations: overpayments: general: inhibit automatic process - debt management and banking (Action Guide)
Consider steps 1 - 13 below when setting or unsetting repayment, or reallocation and repayment signals in a Debt Management & Banking office.
Remember you should always use function NOTE (Case Notes) to enter the reason for setting any of the inhibit signals.

To view signals set to prevent automatic reallocations and repayments
1. If you want to see whether any signals have been set to prevent automatic reallocations or repayments, use the button in function DAPD (Display AP Details).
To view the ‘inhibit repayment amount specified by company’
2. If you want to see whether the signal to prevent automatic repayments of an amount specified by the company has been set, use the button in function DAPD (Display AP Details).
To set the signal to inhibit automatic repayment {#IDACTN4B}
3. If you want to inhibit automatic repayments for a particular AP, use function RAPP (Revise AP Pursuit) to set the ‘inhibit repayments only’ signal to ‘Y’.
4. If you want to inhibit automatic repayments for all company’s APs, use function RTPP (Revise Taxpayer Pursuit) to set the ‘inhibit repayments only’ signal to ‘Y’.
5. Use function NOTE (Case Notes) to say why you have set the inhibit signal.
To set the signal to inhibit automatic reallocation and repayment
6. If you want to inhibit automatic reallocations and repayments for a particular AP, use function RAPP to set the ‘inhibit reallocation and repayment’ signal to ‘Y’.
7. If you want to inhibit automatic reallocations and repayments for all the company’s APs, use function RTPP to set the ‘inhibit reallocations and repayments’ signal to ‘Y’.
8. Use function NOTE to say why you have set the inhibit signal.
To unset the ‘inhibit automatic repayment (manual)’ signal
9. If you want to unset the signal to inhibit automatic repayments for a particular AP, use function RAPP (Revise AP Pursuit) and select ‘N’ from the drop down menu in the ‘inhibit repayment only’ field in the ‘manual inhibition’ area.
10. If you want to unset the signal to inhibit automatic repayments for all the company’s APs use function RTPP (Revise Taxpayer Pursuit) to set the ‘inhibit repayments only’ signal to ‘N’.
- If you did not set either of these signals check any notes before you change the signal to ‘N’.
To unset the ‘inhibit automatic reallocation and repayment (manual)’ signal
11. If you want to unset the signal to inhibit automatic reallocations and repayments for a particular AP, use function RAPP (Revise AP Pursuit) and select ‘N’ from the drop down menu in the ‘inhibit repayment only’ field in the ‘manual inhibition’ area.
12. If you want to unset the signal to inhibit automatic reallocations and repayments for all the company’s APs use function RTPP (Revise Taxpayer Pursuit) to set the ‘inhibit repayments only’ signal to ‘N’.
- If you did not set either of these signals check COTAX notes before you change the value to ‘N’.
To unset the ‘reallocation inhibited (automatic)’ signal
13. If you want to unset the ‘reallocation inhibited’ signal, use function RAPP and select ‘N’ from the drop-down menu in the ‘reallocation inhibited’ field in the ‘automatic inhibition’ area.
