Purpose of the list
There are two versions of the Amended E-Filed List.
- Function AEFL is the update version.
- Function AEFV is the view only version.
The purpose of this work list is to show to cases when an amended CT return has been submitted online that needs review.
How often should the list be reviewed?
AEFL is an immediate action work list and local management must ensure that it is reviewed at least once a day so that any new cases appearing are dealt with immediately.
Who does what?
It is the responsibility of a CT Co-ordinator to review the work list daily and identify new cases and any existing cases where the B/F has expired. They normally establish why the case is on the list and carry out initial actions, referring cases to a Technical Caseworker where they require support.
Corporate Interest Return cases are dealt with by a ring fenced team consisting of AO, CT Co-ordinator and HO Technical resource. Cases relating to appointments of returning companies will be dealt with by AOs, returns received within the extended time limits will be dealt with by CT Co-ordinator and all other cases will be dealt with by HO Technical.
When are new entries added?
COTAX puts cases on AEFL daily when an amended online return has been received that requires review.
