CDSSG04430 - Navigating the Tariff, Step 4 - Matching Allowable Procedure and Additional Procedure Codes
Users must refer to the lists of compatible codes for the chosen DE 1/10 procedure code PRIOR to selecting the DE 1/11 Additional Procedure Codes to be used. these can be found in the chosen Procedure Code’s Completion Notes or the Correlation Matrix for the specific Movement Type. Once the list of permitted codes is identified, each possible Additional Procedure Code should then be looked up in the Index List for the specific Movement Type. See section CDSSG10000 for more guidance.
The index List is found in the first link within the Appendix 2 collection page for each Movement Type
- Imports Additional Procedure Code Index List
- Exports Additional Procedure Code Index List
- Imports (Inventory) Customs Clearance Request (CCR) Additional Procedure Code Index List
- Exports (Inventory) CCR Additional Procedure Code Index List
- Final Supplementary Declaration (FSD) Additional Procedure Code Index List
Although there are index lists provided in Appendix 2 of every DE 1/11 Additional Procedure Code that may be declared on CDS for the chosen movement type (e.g., imports), users should not select Codes from this list without first identifying which Codes are permitted to be used with the Procedure Code in DE 1/10.
The details of compatible codes may be found in the DE 1/10 to DE 1/11 Correlation Matrix provided in the Guidance section of the UK Trade Tariff, CDS Volume 3 for the relevant Movement Type being used.
Care must be taken to access the correct correlation matrix for chosen type of movement is used. It is recommended that the link provided in Step 4 of the Navigation Guide for the given movement type to ensure the correct matrix is opened.

- Exports (inventory) CCR Correlation Matrix
- Final Supplementary Declarations (FSD) Correlation Matrix
Each matrix provides a list of each DE 1/10 Procedure Code and specifies which DE 1/11 Additional Procedure Codes may be used for each
If the DE 1/11 Additional Procedure Code is not shown as permitted for the chosen DE 1/10 Procedure Code it must not be used.
For example, Procedure Code 0721 permits code B02 to be used but Procedure Code 0700 does not.
