Dunning Cycle
Payment requests are issued automatically by SAFE using a process called Dunning.Reminders are issued at set intervals and different charge types have different remindercycles. Some charge types are passed direct to the Integrated Debt Management System(IDMS) without a payment request being issued. Debts can be passed to IDMS or a worklist, depending on the charge type.
The Dunning Cycle is automatically overridden when one or more of the following signalsare set
- Welsh language
- Deceased
- RLS
- Foreign address
- Bankruptcy
- The cycle can also be manually overridden by changing the Dunning level.
