DMBM615820 - Pre-enforcement: recovery documentation and checks: particulars of claim

Some content of this manual is being considered for archiving. If there is content you use regularly, please email hmrcmanualsteam@hmrc.gov.uk to let us know as soon as possible.

When starting a default action in the county court, you are required to file particulars of your claim.

You should set out the amount you are claiming in a format which allows accruing interest, wherever appropriate, to be claimed to the date of judgment.

For those claims issued through the Bulk Centre, the particulars of claim will be prepared automatically from data supplied through the interface with IDMS.

The particulars of claim can be found in the DMB Guidance Gateway under Letters and forms along with notes on how to complete them.
