SAFE/IDMS
New Work items
All cost charge types, except ‘CCP Costs (CCBC)’ and those raised using a NINO
Except for charge type CCP Costs (CCBC) and those raised using a NINO (file indicator ‘N’) SAFE will automatically send details to IDMS and IDMS will create a work item.
To avoid the possibility of duplicating work items
- do not create IDMS work items for any costs charges except where this guidance tells you.
If an IDMS work item already exists for the cost charge, within the same ‘on line’ day
- delete the cost charge work item from IDMS.
Then, the next day
- check that the ‘new’ IDMS work item for the SAFE cost charge links with the IDMS master reference. If not, link the work item manually.
Charge type CCP Costs (CCBC)
Because IDMS creates its own work item for CCBC costs, SAFE does not send details to IDMS.
Cost charges (except CCBC) created using NINO as the reference (file indicator N)
These charges are not supported by the SAFE/IDMS interface but are acceptable to IDMS. They will appear on the SAFE Local Action Worklist. You will therefore need to create an IDMS work item manually.
Updates to IDMS
Except for charges raised using a NINO, SAFE will automatically update IDMS cost charge work items with both designatory data (including signals) and postings.
You will need to manually update cost charges raised using a NINO (file indicator “N”).
