EIM50800 - Census of population: tax treatment of remuneration

A census of population of the United Kingdom is carried out periodically. The remuneration of all officers employed in connection with the census is taxable as employment income. Special instructions regarding the application of PAYE to census remuneration will be issued on the occasion of each census.
