MLR3C2700 - Legislation: Powers and safeguards - powers under CTA

The specific powers in the Counter Terrorism Act 2008 relate to the MSBs we supervise only. They do not apply to HVDs, ASPs, EABs or TCSPs. They include powers to request information or documents and powers of entry to premises and inspection of documents.

Under the Counter Terrorism Act 2008 we can require information and documents. Our powers under the MLRs 2017 goes beyond this. Refer to MLR3C2650

Visits to businesses under the CT Act 2008 will be carried out when we visit to ensure compliance with MLR 2017.
