Embassy and High Commission premises located in the United Kingdom remain part of the United Kingdom. Therefore, National Minimum Wage legislation applies to workers of Embassy and High Commission offices in the normal way (NMWM05010).

Workers engaged to work in United Kingdom embassies overseas are not covered by National Minimum Wage legislation unless they work, or ordinarily work, in the United Kingdom (NMWM05030).
