SW06300 - Rooms: Lock a Room
A Room should only be locked where there is an essential business need to temporarily prevent access, such as for maintenance of the Room, or a suspected security breach SW03245.
A Room can only be locked and unlocked SW06400 by either an HMRC Business Authorising Officer (BAO) for the Room or the SW Live Service Support Team.
When a room is locked enter a reason where prompted. Where possible to do so, the message should also indicate when the Room is expected to be unlocked. This message is displayed to both HMRC and Customer Members.
Only a BAO or SW Live Service Support Team can enter a locked room.
