SW07250 - Item Types: Discussions

Discussion forums can be used to share ideas, to find solutions to problems or to air general topics of interest. Members can create new topics or contribute to existing ones.The attachment box can be used to hold related information.

Each Discussion can contain a number of topics. It is good housekeeping to periodically close old topics SW07430.

A full record of the dialogue in a Discussion is retained. For this reason Discussions are recommended in preference to Intercoms SW07530.

Note: To close an old topic first open the discussion item, then select the discussion item from the breadcrumb trail. This opens a list of topics within thediscussion for review and potential closure.
