(3) If any person contravenes or fails to comply with any regulation or any condition, restriction or requirement imposed under such a regulation his contravention or failure to comply shall attract a penalty under section 9 of the Finance Act 1994 (civil penalties), and any spirits, and any vessels, utensils and materials used for distilling or otherwise manufacturing or for preparing spirits, in respect of which any person contravenes any such regulation, or fails to comply with any such regulation, condition, restriction or requirement, shall be liable to forfeiture – ALDA13(3)

Policy and Application

Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of the Spirits Regulations will be liable to a civil penalty.

Any spirits and any vessels, utensils and materials in respect of such a contravention are liable to forfeiture.
