TSI007150 - Border Processes: What are Temporary Storage implications at Inland Border Facilities (IBF)
IBFs are designated areas run by HMG to carry out control checks for goods arriving and departing via Pre-Lodgement Model ports (Category 1 ports). Control checks will include goods moving under transit for which there may be no subsequent customs declaration to allow the discharge of that movement. In this instance, the goods default to being in Temporary Storage. The GB customs authorities onsite will need to keep non-inventory linked records for goods with the status of being in Temporary Storage.
