Summary

On 13 October 1998 a dual purpose stem trawler/twin beam scallop dredger of 11.96 metre registered length, broached and capsized south of Newhaven, England. The crew of two were thrown into the water and rescued by another fishing vessel. Catrina’s stability was a factor in the accident, along with speed and being steered by Autopilot.
