Synopsis
After landing the catch, two crew members were hauled from the hold using the lifting gear. Both slipped from the hook, and fell to the bottom of the hold sustaining severe bruising.

The vessels owners indicating that the use of risk assessment methodology when carrying out tasks on board could have prevented this accident, and noting that new lifting equipment regulations are due for publication.
